SPIKY DUAL COLOR MOBILE POUCH

Hey you all,  Sorry I have been MIA for a long time. But I hardly spent time working on a craft the last couple yrs. I had been wanting to get a mobile pouch for a while now. I was also contemplating whether I should make one myself. The latter thought won and here we are. I used some leftover yarn from my stock. Blue / Yellow - the classic colour combination. So I decided to go with it. It turned out beautiful, better than I imagined. Here are some pics of the WIP. Contact me for the pattern.... ENJOY !!

Mile-A-Minute Scarf

I found this pattern when I bought Redheart yarn. I am not trying to advertise / promote yarns here but Redheart always gives away a free pattern on the back of the yarn cover.  Its called a Mile-A-Minute scarf because it builds up very fast. I took around 3 hours tops to make this scarf, and I am a beginner and I work very slowly. Also, this is another reversible scarf pattern that I found that was cute and doable. I am still debating on who looks good in this scarf, which I am going to decide soon enough, but as of now, there are no owners :)

Reversible Jumbo Cable Scarf

I created this scarf for a person who is very definitive about her tastes. She wanted a cable scarf in red :) Cable patterns turn out good with bulky yarns and I dint have a bulky yarn with me, nor could I find a good one in the stores. So, I used two strands of red 'hot' yarn to create this bulky cable scarf. This made the scarf pretty bulky and also, it gave a different texture to the scarf. This scarf can keep you extremely warm in winter. The scarf is a reversible project, knitted with a central cable structure and some edging on the sides, with tassels for elegance and fashion.

Apple Leaf Edged Scarf with picots

Just completed this scarf for one of my dear friends. She wanted the apple leaf lace edging on her scarf and I added a few of my own touches to the scarf :) The apple leaf edging is a knitted edging. However I added a scarf to it which was crocheted (from my imagination) and then I also added a picot edging on the other side, because I wanted to try out the picot work.

Scarves / Mufflers for friends (Multi-color scarf)

Here is the latest project that I finished - a multicolor scarf for my friend who lives in Jammu... I bet its gonna be very cold there soon... So I will be sending it across asap. When I started this scarf and the other one that I posted here, I had thought I would finish it off pretty soon, because most of the scarves were completed even before I left from the US. Almost a year has been gone by without opening the bag of wool and needles !! However it really dint take me that long to finish working on this and the dotted one and both of them turned out awesome !! I am proud of my talent and I owe it all to my mom who got it from her mom. Its a pleasure to see finished knitting / crochet products at last. Here are some more pics - Close-up view of the pattern Dotted Scarf (right) and Multicolor scarf (left) More soon. - So

Scarves / Mufflers for friends (Dotted Scarf)

When I was planning to leave US and return to India, as a memoir for my close friends, I decided to knit them some scarves, what since it was winter and all. Moreover, all of my friends love scarves and wear them all the time. So, it was a perfect parting gift for them all :) However I couldnt finish any of the scarves on time... so I decided I'll finish it in India and mail it to them. Even after coming to India though, it took me a long time to settle down and finally restart my half-done projects... I had one bag full of wool, selections from each of my friends for their own scarves. As of now, I am working on 2 very different scarves - one with multi-color yarn and one with dotted yarn.

Baby Slippers and Cap (Crochet)

Hello u'all, I am back to blogging, atleast for now :) I actually wanted to put up this post for a while now, but did not want to kill the surprise for a friend of mine. One of my close friends is expecting a baby boy by the end of this year and she had her baby shower a week back, for which I created these beautiful stuff for the baby. Since it was a surprise gift for her, I did not want to blog about it and let her know that I made these stuff.

Bavarian Crochet / Catherine Wheel / Yarn Eater Baby Blanket

I came across this pattern for a very gorgeous beautiful Bavarian crochet pattern when I was looking for baby blanket patterns for my sisters baby. At that time I knew my sister had a girl baby, and this seemed the perfect gift for the baby. I started off with a few yarns that I had bought during my Chickpet visit. When I started off with the blanket, I did not think much about how the rounds in the pattern would grow considerably bigger after every two rows. After two rows with each color, the woolen seemed not enough for more rows. They got over pretty soon. So I had to go shopping again for more yarn. This time I found pretty and bright colors which seemed perfect for a baby blanket and also I looked for multiple shades in the same colors. Here are some pics of the yarns I bought and the WIP blanket. Will update the post again when the entire blanket is done. Please leave your email ID in the comments section if you want the pattern.   More pics are yet to come...
