Chhavi poses in her new cap The past few days have been really sunny here in Mangalore (yes, I said sunny, even during the monsoons. Otherwise its always always and I repeat always raining in monsoon season). I thought that to avoid a sunstroke, its good to put a cap on Chhavi, when she's dropped to and picked up from her play school. I had a cap of mine lying around, but it proved too big for her (even on the tightest setting. Of course, I bought a very cute one online which had some cartoons and stuff (it said 3 - 8 yrs), but that turned out to be very small for her (a 2 yr 8 month old). I wonder how its gonna fit a 3 yr old, let alone an 8 yr old !!! Anyways, I had some multi-color cotton thread lying around and decided to put my knitting / crochet talent to some good use. Woollen would be too much in this already scorching heat. So I went on a quest to find some good patterns and decided on this one here . Its a fun and easy project which got over pretty quickly.
