SPIKY DUAL COLOR MOBILE POUCH

Hey you all,  Sorry I have been MIA for a long time. But I hardly spent time working on a craft the last couple yrs. I had been wanting to get a mobile pouch for a while now. I was also contemplating whether I should make one myself. The latter thought won and here we are. I used some leftover yarn from my stock. Blue / Yellow - the classic colour combination. So I decided to go with it. It turned out beautiful, better than I imagined. Here are some pics of the WIP. Contact me for the pattern.... ENJOY !!

Mile-A-Minute Scarf

I found this pattern when I bought Redheart yarn. I am not trying to advertise / promote yarns here but Redheart always gives away a free pattern on the back of the yarn cover.

Its called a Mile-A-Minute scarf because it builds up very fast. I took around 3 hours tops to make this scarf, and I am a beginner and I work very slowly. Also, this is another reversible scarf pattern that I found that was cute and doable.

I am still debating on who looks good in this scarf, which I am going to decide soon enough, but as of now, there are no owners :)

I have made a few changes to the Redheart original pattern and you can contact me for the pattern here.

Here are some pics -

I am still unable to decide a good pattern for a new multi-color yarn that I have... lacy patterns are not going well with it, but I dont particularly want to do a bulky pattern on it. So once I get a new pattern, more scarves are gonna come this way :)

Baby Slippers and Cap (Crochet)

Hello u'all, I am back to blogging, atleast for now :) I actually wanted to put up this post for a while now, but did not want to kill the surprise for a friend of mine. One of my close friends is expecting a baby boy by the end of this year and she had her baby shower a week back, for which I created these beautiful stuff for the baby. Since it was a surprise gift for her, I did not want to blog about it and let her know that I made these stuff.

Summer cap for Chhavi

Chhavi poses in her new cap The past few days have been really sunny here in Mangalore (yes, I said sunny, even during the monsoons. Otherwise its always always and I repeat always raining in monsoon season). I thought that to avoid a sunstroke, its good to put a cap on Chhavi, when she's dropped to and picked up from her play school. I had a cap of mine lying around, but it proved too big for her (even on the tightest setting. Of course, I bought a very cute one online which had some cartoons and stuff (it said 3 - 8 yrs), but that turned out to be very small for her (a 2 yr 8 month old). I wonder how its gonna fit a 3 yr old, let alone an 8 yr old !!! Anyways, I had some multi-color cotton thread lying around and decided to put my knitting / crochet talent to some good use. Woollen would be too much in this already scorching heat. So I went on a quest to find some good patterns and decided on this one here . Its a fun and easy project which got over p...
